Ingredients for Crunchy Pakora
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as onions, potatoes, cauliflower, spinach, etc.), sliced or chopped
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions for Crunchy Pakora
- In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add water to the mixture and whisk to form a smooth and thick batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the vegetables well.
- Add the sliced or chopped vegetables to the batter and mix well until all the vegetables are coated with the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the vegetable-batter mixture into the hot oil. Fry the pakoras until they are golden brown and crispy.
