Ahead of the Spanish El Clasico.. Barcelona announces Robert Lewandowski’s injury

Spanish club Barcelona announced, on Monday, that its Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski, had been injured, a few days before facing his arch-rivals Real Madrid.

And the “Blaugrana” account tweeted on its Twitter account: “Robert Lewandowski suffers from a strain in the biceps muscle of the left thigh,” explaining that “the duration of absence depends on the pace of his recovery.”

Although Barcelona did not specify the exact period of the player’s absence, Spanish press reports confirmed the absence of the Polish striker from the ranks of his team when he met the “Merengue”, in the first leg of the King’s Cup semi-final match, next Thursday.

And Lewandowski (34 years old) had participated in the “Blaugrana” and Almeria match, yesterday, Sunday, which ended with the latter’s victory with a single goal, in the 23rd round of the Spanish League competition (La Liga).

Robert Lewandowski is Barcelona’s top scorer, having contributed to 20 La Liga goals this season, scoring 15 and providing 5 assists, after participating in 20 matches.
